4th of July Manicure
Happy 4th of July to all my American friends! Just like a bunch of us bloggers participated in a collaborative mani day for Canada Day, we are doing one for the US as well!
Red, white and blue is the theme, and I happen to be using a US polish, butter LONDON, based in Seattle. The blue is BL Bluey and the red is Chancer. Orly French White is the white used for the dots, and Konad white with BM14 plate for the stars.
Chancer is a lovely red, medium-sized glitter in a red jelly base. Chancer is a metallic blue with a tinge of teal at certain angles. The dotting tool I used was smallish medium, but in reflection I could have use a tiny one and had more of a “string of pearls” look that would be nice too. BTW lining the border of a French tip like this is a PERFECT way to hide imperfections in your freehand French tips if you are worried about your lines or smiles not being perfect …. *ahem* not that anyone HERE has any nail art imperfections *wink wink*. LOL
I wanted the stars to be a bit random, so I stamped them in different ways and configurations for each nail.
Remember to keep your pets safe during the fireworks festivities in the evening. Their little ears are so sensitive, and they get so terrified! Stay safe all of you as well and have lots of fun! As I say on my food blog on holidays, “Eat like calories don’t exist and laugh like it’s an opiate!”
Please check out my fellow blogger friends’ 4th of July manis too!
